As our company name suggests, New World Fuel is on track to lead the industry’s new era of socially responsible growth. We are intent on building a sustainability-focused business infrastructure to safeguard our industry’s future.
At the heart of our Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) program is the health and wellbeing of our employees, the energy efficiency of our logistics, and the smart elimination of waste by recycling and reusing the materials that transport our products.
We have implemented enterprise-wide policies and procedures that not only meet stringent, globally-enforced governmental rules to protect the environment, but also ensure that ESG best practices are reflected in everything we do. This culture applies internally to all levels of our organization and drives external decisions as well, including the choice of vendors across our global supply chain.

Our ESG program addresses the pressing issues of waste reduction, cutting pollution and emissions, minimizing environmental impact, ensuring employee safety, lowering energy and water consumption, and decreasing the use of rare natural resources. We are also actively growing our portfolio of ‘green’ products and developing cleaner processes that contribute to net zero progress.

Our rigorous oversight ensures all transportation methods comply with today’s strict regulations, as set forth by the International Chamber of Commerce, IncoTerms 2020, Federal RailRoad Administration (FRA) and others. We also inspect the products being shipped by container or other means before they are loaded into a given vehicle or vessel, allowing us to avoid any potential environmental hazards that could possibly endanger persons, land or sea according to local laws. And since all areas of our business are interconnected, much like the human circulatory system, ESG monitors sustainability-related activities for quality control and smooth operations.

Sustainable Products
Two of our products in particular signal a positive impact on the environment: epoxidized soybean oil (ESBO) and recycled polyethylene terephthalate (rPET). We also join the industry in finding new ways to take waste by-products and turn them into new, useful products, which can contribute to a cleaner and more sustainable energy ecosystem for the betterment of humankind.
Efficient Logistics
When it comes to choice of transportation, NWF opts for rail whenever feasible — a strategy that can reduce the carbon footprint by limiting fuel consumption. We are also leveraging digital technologies — data analytics, IoT and automation, for example — to improve logistical efficiency, lower emissions and enhance safety.
